Come all to Fat Bike Vineyard Sundays at 45 North Winery hosted by Suttons Bay Bikes. This is a mostly free event that focuses on enjoying the groomed winter recreation trail at 45 North Vineyard and Winery. The event includes fat bike demos, rentals and group ride; all free and open to all.  A guided vineyard fat bike tour is also offered with wine and cider tastings to follow the ride.

The two Sundays for this event are: 1/24/16 and 2/14/16 from 11am-3pm. The free group ride starts at 11am and is open to all, there will be ride leaders for different speeds. The group ride is an opportunity to pre-ride the race course for the 2/21/15 Shorts Series Fat Bike Race to be held at 45 North Winery. Free rentals are available for the group ride and during the event. All day there will be the opportunity to demo different fat bike models, a great chance for one to compare and test the bikes. At 1pm there will be a guided vineyard tour which includes wine tasting for $10. This is a great chance for riders to learn about 45 North’s property, vineyards, wine make process and then enjoy their wines. The tour covers about 30 minutes of fat biking on the groomed vineyard trails. After the rides, riders can warm up with wine and cider tasting specials or cheese plates, soup du jour and charcutcherie boards available for purchase in the tasting room.

45 North Vineyard and Winery Recreational Trail is a 3.2 mile groomed trail accommodating winter sports for all. The trail is free to the public, 7 days a week, 10a-5p, year round. The family friendly trail is open for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and fat tire biking in the winter.  The trail is open for hiking and mountain biking in the summer months.

“This is super fun way to enjoy the snow, burn some calories and visit the wineries,” says Nick Wierzba – owner. “I want to expose more people to the fun of fat bikes and introduce them to the great trail at 45 North Winery.”

No reservation is required for the group ride or the rentals. Reservations are encouraged for the Vineyard Tour and can be made online or by calling 231-421-6815. Details on the tour can be found atSuttonsBayBikes.com
